new grand baby

I thought that when I held my 'Manda in my arms 40 years ago or the first time, I was going to die of love.
Then I held little Josy 19 yr's ago, and I died of love again.
Then yesterday they put little Daniel in my arms, and I am melting with joy...it's not possible to be this happy and still breathe.
he is so beautiful.

I've delivered a gajillion babies in my life...and nothing prepared me for watching Josy give birth...she was a force of nature....a wonder to watch. She gave birth with in 6 hours, start to finish, and no pain killers....she was amazing. And her baby was as perfect as a baby can get.

And here is my new great -grand baby...Daniel Micheal!

..my cup runneth over.
Now 'scuze me whole grandpa and me go shopping!

Spring is in the air!

Spring is in the air!

Spring is in the air and my new spring banner finally replaced the Christmas Reindeer one that was left hanging lots longer than it should have been!

bought me this butterfly banner recently! I think it will do quite well to welcome in spring and summer! Don't you agree?

Spring is getting on here, in fact our spring blossoms will soon be over. The Azaleas are past their prime...almost over, in fact.

This light pink one still has some pretty blooms, though.

These pictures were taken yesterday in the late afternoon. I love that time of day. The orange blossoms seem to be at their most fragrant at that time!

Heavenly scent and beautiful to see, with fruit still
hanging on the trees.

Here are my 2 boys ~ waiting patiently for their dinner..

...Just a day in the life of Micky and Moe...and it was good!

time out with grand children

hello bloggosphere!
I have a friend at the Bridge club who keeps a blog, and she made it sound so so fun.
I decided to take a stab at it.

Dan and I went out to the sea crest with Josy and Mike, her husband. I can not believe I am soon to be a great grandmother!
We did some celebrating.
Josy is due in December!

So this is my first post....

You'd think I would have more to say, I'm suddenly 'blog shy'.
I will be back!
